BTG Begbies Traynor completes acquisition of David Rubin & Partners

BTG Begbies Traynor plc is pleased to announce that the acquisition of David Rubin & Partners Limited has completed.

This represents the largest acquisition the firm has undertaken to date and builds on the recent acquisition of CVR Global LLP, resulting in a significant increase in the scale of the firm's business recovery and financial advisory business, especially in the key London market.

David Rubin & Partners has offices in London and Guernsey and a team of 72 partners and staff, all of which will join BTG Begbies Traynor following the acquisition.

Ric Traynor, Executive Chairman of BTG Begbies Traynor plc, commented:

“The acquisition of David Rubin & Partners is our largest acquisition to date and is expected to be immediately earnings enhancing. It leaves the firm well-positioned to increase its market share and continue to grow its business recovery and financial advisory revenues.

Ric is Executive Chairman of the firm and a licensed insolvency practitioner and chartered accountant. Ric established Traynor & Co. in 1989 which, following the acquisition of Begbies London in 1997, is what we know today as BTG Begbies Traynor.

In his role of Executive Chairman, Ric focusses on the strategic development of the firm and supporting the management board in developing and executing our growth strategy. He remains a major shareholder in the firm.
