Meet the expert team at the BTG Begbies Traynor Leeds office. We are a team of licensed insolvency practitioners and business turnaround experts here to help you navigate your most challenging times. We can help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

BTG Begbies Traynor, led by Carl Lever, has successfully undertaken the pre-pack sale of a major regulated financial services provider. Throughout the process, our team worked closely with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to complete the sale and the transfer of £70m to the new buyer. Due to the heavily regulated sale environment, we had to ensure full compliance with the regulator throughout the process.

Restructuring
The business was a group of haulage companies with an annual turnover of approximately £20 million and with approximately 150 employees. The core business was time critical delivery of weekly and monthly periodicals.

Administrative receivership
A portfolio of 145 residential properties based in Reading with a total bank lend of £35 million. This was a complex case and we were appointed due to a technical breach rather than an arrears breach.

Company administration
A firm of property consultants and agents with eight offices across London and employing approximately 250 staff provided a broad range of residential and commercial property consultancy services, including letting, valuations and property management.
Our Leeds office is led by Julian Pitts, licensed insolvency practitioner, and BTG Begbies Traynor's Head of Restructuring. Julian, alongside his team, are here to provide the expert help, advice, and guidance directors need when their company is facing insurmountable financial problems which threaten the future of their business.
As licensed insolvency practitioners, BTG Begbies Traynor can talk you through the range of formal and informal insolvency processes available to you and your company, before recommending the most appropriate course of action. This may include negotiating with creditors through a CVA, placing the company into administration, or closing the business down in an orderly manner by way of liquidation.
If you’re in the Leeds area and require professional, independent advice, contact your local BTG Begbies Traynor office. Julian Pitts has a wealth of experience in all aspects of corporate advisory and is on hand to help you take the first step.
